This series of photographs, prints and ceramics are the results of a walk. I was lost to know what new to do for Open Studios 14, when I decided to go for a walk around the Mere, Scarborough. The idea of 'Mindfulness' is very current and I decided to concentrate all of my senses whilst walking around the lake. The smell of wild garlic, the sound of the geese as they protected their young, the wide open space filled with a carpet of daisies all met together to influence a series of photographs, etchings and ceramics. I have since added more photographs that capture the same feeling. Being in the moment.
The exhibition also showed works from 'Wondering Presence', the video, and black and white prints that I made in the darkroom earlier in the year.
